Terms of Use for SubWise

Welcome to SubWise! These Terms of Use ("Terms", "Terms of Use") govern your use of the SubWise mobile application (the "App") operated by Parth Vora ("us", "we", or "our").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the SubWise app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you must not access or use the application.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using SubWise, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Use, along with our Privacy Policy. If you are using the app on behalf of an organization or business, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Description of the Service

SubWise is a mobile application designed to help users manage recurring subscriptions, bills, renewals, warranties, and digital life expiration dates from a centralized dashboard. The app operates with an offline-first local database (Isar) with optional cloud backup and synchronization via Firebase.

The app is offered in two main tiers:

  • Free Tier: Allows users to track up to 15 subscriptions with basic core modules, local backups, and advertisements supported via Google AdMob.

  • Premium Tier: Unlocked through In-App Purchases, offering unlimited subscriptions, cloud synchronization, multi-device access, advanced analytics, PDF/Excel export, and an ad-free experience.

3. User Accounts and Security

  • Account Creation: You may use certain features of the app locally without an account, but cloud sync and advanced features require registration via Firebase Authentication (such as Google or Apple Sign-In).

  • Account Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, App PIN, and biometric security settings (Fingerprint or Face ID).

  • Data Accuracy: You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the subscription data, payment amounts, dates, and uploaded documents you enter into the app.

4. Subscriptions, In-App Purchases, and Payments

  • Billing through RevenueCat: Premium tiers, monthly plans (₹99/month), yearly plans (₹499/year), and lifetime access options (₹1,999) are processed securely through third-party app stores via RevenueCat.

  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle through your App Store or Google Play account settings.

  • Refunds: All purchases are final and governed by the standard refund policies of the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. We do not process direct cash refunds.

5. Advertisements and Third-Party Content

  • AdMob Integration: Free-tier users will see non-intrusive banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. These ads do not block core app functionality. We are not responsible for the content, products, or services advertised by third parties through AdMob.

6. User Conduct and Prohibited Activities

You agree not to use the App to:

  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.

  • Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or try to bypass the security mechanisms of the app, including cloud databases and encryption.

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of SubWise.

  • Use the app for any fraudulent, illegal, or unauthorized commercial purposes.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All rights, title, and interest in and to the SubWise application (including its source code, UI/UX designs, Flutter codebase, graphics, logos, and trademarks) are and will remain the exclusive property of Parth Vora. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the app for personal, non-commercial use.

8. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer of Warranties

  • "As Is" Basis: The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

  • No Financial Advice: SubWise is a tracking and management tool. It does not provide financial advice, guarantee savings, or take responsibility for missed renewal dates, late fee charges, or subscription auto-renewals.

  • Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Parth Vora shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the app.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to our application immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms of Use. Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page when changes are made. Your continued use of the app following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
